Judy Karniewicz, Esq.

Judy Karniewicz was born and raised in rural Virginia. She attended the University of Virginia prior to attending the University of Florida Levin College of Law where she graduated cum laude. Judy returned to the University of Florida, following her admission to the Florida Bar, and obtained her master’s degree in Taxation Law. She is currently a member of the Tax Section of the Florida Bar and was one of two recipients of a Fellowship award from the Section in 2009 and 2010. After graduation from the Tax Program, Judy practiced with a Tampa firm for a little over four years prior to opening The Karniewicz Law Group in 2008. For the last 14 years, she has focused her practice in the areas of corporate law, estate planning, mergers and acquisitions, estate administration, asset protection, taxation, and business law, including assisting with start-up ventures, franchises and other investment companies, as well as assisting with obtaining investors, business succession planning and exit strategies. Judy is able to provide specialized services often found in big firms based on her education and experience, but with the personal touch that can be offered in a smaller practice.

 

Jay Bonnett, TKLG Attorney

Jay Bonnett, Esq.

Jay Bonnett was born and raised in Winter Haven, Florida and is a third generation resident of the area. Like many in Central Florida, Jay developed an appreciation for the history of the area through his work in his family’s agricultural business while growing up. After graduating Winter Haven High School, Jay attended the University of Florida where he received his bachelor’s degree in Finance. He subsequently attended the University of Florida Law School where he received his law degree with honors, along with a master’s degree in Taxation Law. Jay has specialized in tax law and has previously worked with the IRS as an Estate Tax attorney. He is currently a member of the Tax Section of the Florida Bar and focuses his practice in the areas of business law, estate planning, estate administration, asset protection, and taxation.
